drema dream

Playwright, director, and producer Drema Dream is a force to be reckoned with in the theatrical world, and just like her signature star line tattoo beneath her left eye, Drema's unique vision and dynamic storytelling is unforgettable. Drema is dedicated to creating works that leave a lasting impact on both hearts and minds. Her works challenge conventional thinking and ignite conversations that will spark meaningful change. Whether crafting a poignant play, directing a powerful performance, or producing a show that pushes boundaries, Drema consistently delivers artistry that captivates and inspires. Drema Dream developed her love for theatrical writing and production during her more than twenty-year career as a professional hair stylist and instructor. As a platform artist and creative director for renowned names in the hair care industry, including Bronner Bros. and Nairobi Hair Products, Drema participated in hair shows across the United States. Always at the forefront of the latest trends, the Louisiana native soon realized she needed to transition from participating in hair shows to producing her own. Drema began crafting skits to entertain audiences during competitor set-ups. These skits were a massive hit, sparking her passion for storytelling. Determined to refine her skills, she enrolled in a screenwriting class at a local community college. This decision became one of the greatest investments of her life, empowering her to embark on a career that would transform not only her life but also the lives of theatergoers both near and far. Drema's production company, (I’M My Own Competition),  IMOC Productions was born in 2002. This is where she creates her original work, mentor, train, coach and motivate others. Her works bring attention to community awareness and social issues that may or may not affect the needs of the community and help mentally develop future entrepreneurs to elevate their thoughts, set goals and execute ideas by nurturing their natural gifts and talents to equip them with what they need to help make the world a better place. Currently, I am in transition from hairstyling to writing, directing and producing stage plays through my company IMOC Productions. IMOC (I’m my own competition) is my slogan that I stamp in front of every project that originates with me.
